What is a PTO? Parent/Teacher/Organization - A non-profit 501c3 organization consisting of volunteer parents and families working together to enhance the culture of our school. The PTO has an Executive Board that works in partnership with school administration to establish yearly needs. From there, a budget is created, events & fundraisers planned, goals established, and PTO enrollment opened! ONLY PTO MEMBERS have access to the details, can vote on specifics, see event results, access meeting agenda minutes and more!
Are you required to volunteer? NO - But it is highly encouraged. We understand that every family has a different schedule and may not be able to commit to every event. If you do sign up to volunteer, we do expect you to show up and give it your all!
Once you join, are there any expectations as a member? NO- just being a part of the PTO and reading your newsletter to stay in-the-know is a BIG support of our mission! Participate where you can. You set the expectations!
Is a background check required to join? NO - Only the members interested in volunteering on school campus are required to have a background check and volunteer training on file with the county.
Can you make a difference? YES - Getting involved in your child’s education shows that you care about their future. One great way to join the school community is through the parent-teacher organization, or PTO. Collaboration between parents and teachers can make the school a better place for students and educators alike. Even if you don’t have a lot of time to devote, you can have your voice heard!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
